Hey my name is Barney. I'm a big, goofy, blonde boy with a high energy level. I need an active family that will get me the exercise that I need. I am learning basic obedience. I'm doing well because I'm food†motivated. I'm very smart and eager to please, but I just need consistent direction and guidance for what is acceptable behavior. My foster mom says the "bull in the china shop" that I'm used to is not going to work. So I trust her judgement and try to please her when she is working with me.

I am in a crate when my family is away, which I don't like at first but then I settle down. I will probably be able to work up to no crating, but right now my family doesn't want me to get into any trouble when I'm left alone. I don't have to sleep in†a crate†at night. †I'm content to be beside your bed on the floor. I let someone know when I need to go out to potty too.

I get along with other dogs (actually my foster brother never plays with other dogs like he does me). I'm okay with cats, but†I probably can't be adopted out to a family with small children. I am a little too rough and mouthy and†their toys would probably be in my mouth. I LOVE TENNIS BALLS AND KONG TOYS!!!!!
